The 8th Annual Meeting of the Asian Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ASMRM 2026) Held in Conjunction with JSMRM 2026

2026-10-17

Welcome Message

We are pleased to announce that the 8th Annual Meeting of the Asian Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ASMRM 2026) will be held jointly with the 54th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (JSMRM) from October 16 to 18, 2026, at SHIROYAMA HOTEL Kagoshima, Kagoshima, Japan.

The Asian Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ASMRM) is an international academic organization dedicated to advancing scientific and technological developments in magnetic resonance medicine through collaboration among clinicians, researchers, and technologists throughout Asia. The Society currently comprises six countries and/or regions: Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and Japan.

The ASMRM has committed to expanding its activities and harnessing the collective strengths of the Asian magnetic resonance community to accelerate innovation and amplify the global impact of scientific advances originating in Asia. The 2026 meeting in Japan marks the 8th Annual Meeting of ASMRM. As the host society, we sincerely hope that this congress will further strengthen the close communication and friendship that have long characterized our community, inspire new scientific collaborations, and serve as an important milestone in the continued growth of ASMRM. We are confident that the partnerships forged and the scientific achievements shared during this meeting will help shape the future of magnetic resonance medicine throughout Asia and beyond.

The scientific program will feature two major sessions. The first is an International Symposium, bringing together six distinguished speakers to discuss the quantification and clinical applications of MRI imaging biomarkers. The symposium will focus on the reliable quantification of MR signals and contrast enhancement using advanced imaging techniques, both with and without contrast agents, highlighting their roles in clinical diagnosis and biomedical research. The second is the Young Investigator Award (YIA) Session, which is designed to encourage and recognize the achievements of emerging researchers. This session will showcase innovative, interdisciplinary research conducted by the next generation of scientists and clinicians, fostering future leaders in the field of magnetic resonance imaging.

We warmly welcome your participation and look forward to welcoming colleagues from across Asia and around the world to this exciting scientific gathering.

Sincerely,

Masaya Takahashi, Ph.D.
